Westerhof-Café im Stieler-Haus in Tegernsee

On a rainy October day, a few days before the new lockdown, we sat in the Stieler house without any other guests. It was just before 9 p.m. and the kitchen was just waiting for us. So we ordered quickly so as not to take advantage of this extraordinary hospitality. We ate excellent fish, perfectly prepared chanterelles. In addition to the delicious apple strudel, there was so-called strawberry dumplings for dessert. All in all it was a dream. The service was relaxed and extremely courteous. The chef came to the bar shortly after our dessert and talked to us for a while. We felt we were in very good hands in this casual atmosphere and look forward to returning to the Westerhof Café in the Stieler Haus on our next visit Greetings from Mainz

Not cheap, but everything was clean and great.

We felt extremely uncomfortable and received only very unfriendly. A menu was not presented to us and after ordering our drinks we had no way of ordering anything else, as the waiter purposely stayed away from us. Unfortunately a very disappointing experience.

Creative chef who knows his trade! The dessert is also highly recommended. Simply great, keep it up!

Cake very good .. only the service leaves a lot to be desired. Unfriendly. Rude ... blonde, short hair between 50 and 55 years old. Just put drinks down .. without asking anything .. lets you wait half an hour and doesn't even ask if you still want something .. then you say pay she already has it the cash register in hand..🙈without asking if it was good or tasted

My husband and I went to the cafe on October 11th. We ordered an ice chocolate, an iced coffee and a portion of Kaiserschmarrn. The ice chocolate could not be served as no chilled chocolate was available. So my husband decided on the iced coffee too. The iced coffees were inedible as the cream was sour. Without further ado, two new iced coffees were delivered. The cream was okay now, the coffee left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. Then the Kaiserschmarrn was brought. Visually appealing, a catastrophe in terms of taste. Warmed up and of a strange consistency. We left the portion untouched and asked for the bill. Without asking whether something was wrong, the waiter brought the bill. We paid and will not visit the cafe again.

Have had breakfast there. We weren't welcomed in a friendly way and what was the best, we were being served and the waitress had the cell phone on her ear the whole time. That's not working at all. Once and not again.

We are tourists at Tegernsee and we looked for a café in the late afternoon that was not completely overloaded and overcrowded. That's how we came across the Westerhof Café by chance. We stood outside the entrance because a sign asked us to wait outside until we were picked up by an employee and accompanied to our place. And so we stood and waited. And waited. And waited. After we drew attention to us, someone came from the waitress and looked at us confused, why we didn't just come in and sit down. My husband pointed out the sign to the gentleman. In fact, the gentleman probably did not know about this sign and said that he was wondering why visitors are constantly standing outside and not coming in. Really!? Well ... the food was okay, the service seemed very cool. You didn't feel particularly welcome, we got to know that differently in other cafés on Tegernsee. And if you don't feel well, then you eat up quickly and go back on your way. That's how we did it.

Great ambience, friendly and courteous staff, great view from the winter garden directly on the Tegernsee. Excellent food. Price-performance more than fair.

The Apfelstrudel tasted weird and I did not finish it. The drinks were okay.

Were at the Sunday brunch here, everything was super rich to choose from and very good, beautiful monument-protected house, modern furnishings. 👍

Nice restaurant / café and one of the few where you finally don't sit right on the street and constantly hear the cars passing by. You can see the parking lot from the terrace, but that doesn't bother you because you have the view of the beautiful lake right behind. There were also many different cakes to choose from, each piece looking better than the other. The service was also very nice. Only the coffee size was a bit too big for me - I prefer small and strong, but it's a matter of taste.

We were at the Stieler Haus for the first time at a breakfast party. Location perfect, breakfast excellent, and the most important thing is a friendly and particularly friendly service.

Outrageous waitress who laughed arrogantly when asked if there were any other cakes and replied "Is it not enough?" ... there is hardly a more unwelcome way. Anyone who imagines that customers stay for dinner is not doing the business a favor ...

Very attentive service, great value for money, very tasty food and large portions

On the 4th of October we celebrated our civil wedding in the Westerhof-Café in the Stieler-Haus. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Reibert and his team. Everything was perfectly organized and the food was great! Thank you very much for everything. Bye for now. We look forward to the next visit.

Was only there for breakfast and it was delicious. There is also a breakfast buffet ....

Very delicious

I happened to be here for dinner today and was most pleasantly surprised by a 4 course meal. The house and ambience is already very sympathetic. But the kitchen is really good and can compete with many a star chef. The products were very well balanced and prepared to perfection. The chef Daniel is watching it.
